Paul Erik BENSON

BENSON, Paul Erik - age 54, of Fenton, died Saturday, May 11, 2013. Services will be held 1 PM Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Interment will follow at Acacia Park Cemetery in Beverly Hills, MI. Visitation will be from 12-3 and 5-8 PM Wednesday and 11 AM until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Fenton Rotary Club. Paul was born January 14, 1959 in Detroit, the son of Alvin George and Elsie (Edlund) Benson. He received a bachelor degree in finance and real estate from Central Michigan University in 1981. He married Michelle Lynch on April 30, 1988 and they have lived in Fenton the past 15 years. Mr. Benson was a banker for 30 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting. Paul was a former member of the Fenton Rotary and was the kind of person who never met a stranger. Surviving are: wife, Michelle; daughter, Mackenzie Valeria Benson, both of Fenton; three sisters, twin sister, Lisa (Steve) Devos of Saginaw, Martha Gerganoff and Christine Benson, both of Tucson, AZ; stepmother, Carolyn Benson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael C. and Linda Lynch; sister-in-law, Stephanie (Michael) Tanner; nieces and nephew, Lindsay Devos, Nicholas and Rachael Gerganoff, Logan Tanner; two cousins, Charlotte Cislo and Richard Parks; lifelong friends, Ron Sherd and Robin and Jeff Schneider; and a very special and loyal border collie, Daisy, who will miss him very much. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law, Jeff Lynch and Stefan Gerganoff; uncle and aunt, Richard and Jeannette Parks.
