Patsy Kerr

KERR, Patsy Ann - Age 85, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday July 28, 2021. Funeral services will be held 12:30PM Monday August 2, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 11AM until time of service on Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Patsy was born March 14, 1936 in Flint the daughter of William Boyd and Lizzie Beth (Smith) Rutledge. She married Philip Kerr on November 19, 1955 in Swartz Creek and he preceded her in death on July 20 of this year. Patsy was never afraid of trying something new. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, cross stitching, gardening, canning, baking and ice skating. Patsy even built an ice rink in her driveway so she could teach her children how to ice skate. Surviving are: children, Dawn (Bill) Bedard of Flint, Michele ( Darrell) Johnston of Flint, Randall Kerr of Newberry, Linda (Roger) Gauthier of Corunna, Marcia (Michael) Talcott of Owosso, Gregory Kerr of Fenton; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; Two great great grandchildren; brothers, Melvin Rutledge of Linden, Charles (Ida) Rutledge of AZ; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, William and Lizzie Rutledge; sister, Luella Crothers and brother, Larry Rutledge. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
