Patsy Benkert

BENKERT, Patsy Ruth, age 79, of Grand Blanc, died Thursday, August 2, 2007 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. A Memorial Service will be 11AM Wednesday,August 8, 2007 at First Congregational Church, 6494 S. Belsay Rd., Grand Blanc. Family visitation will be: 3-8PM Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, G-6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp; and Wednesday 10:30-11:00AM at the church. In memory of Patsy, contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church. Patsy was born December 8,1927 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Thomas and Clara (Mayer)Carnahan. She attended William Woods College in Fulton, Missouri for two years, and Michigan State University College, where she graduated in 1950. She was past president  of Delta Delta Delta at Michigan State University;taught first grade in Royal Oak, MI from 1950-1955; and she was most recently former member and past president of P.E.O. chapter D.T. She loved to play bridge. Patsy is survived by her beloved husband, Jack E. Benkert;her brother, Whitney Carnahan; daughter, Catherine J. (Steven) Bean; son,Joseph D. Benkert; daughter, Amy E. (John) Cantu; grandsons, Ryan A.(Autumn) Bean and Alejandro C. Cantu; many relatives and dear friends.
