Patrick Ervin Mitchell was born on August 14, 1933 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Pat and Mary (Campbell) Mitchell. He passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024 at age 90.
Patrick was a resident of Lansing, MI and attended Sexton High School, Ferris State University and proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He spent most of his work years in various forms of sales.
Patrick was a Spartan loyalist, an avid skier, horseman, and a marathon runner. He liked volunteering, spending winters in KCB, Florida, and summers at the family cottage on Lake Huron.
Mostly, he loved his family at any occasion, often claiming nephew and nieces as “children from another mother,” Marc, Rose and Anna, Eden, Ed and Teddy, and Dan, Ruth and Nina all adored by their Uncle Pat.
Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Anita Rose Mitchell; and loved by his cat, Gypsy Rose. Also surviving are his sisters, Virginia, Carolyn, Betty and their families.
Patrick and Anita were married for 60 years at and are members of the Congregation Shaarey Zedek. His great personality and smile were widely recognized. A major people person!
Donations in Patrick’s memory may be made to the Hadassah Medical Center, Children’s Pavilion, 40 Wall Street, New York, NY 10005. Private services took place with burial at Machpelah Cemetery, Flint. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.
