Patricia Oxley

OXLEY, Patricia Lynn (Amthor) - Age 61, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018. Services will be held 1 PM Friday, March 2, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Visitation will be 2-4 PM and 6-9 PM Thursday; and 11 AM - 1 PM Friday. Those desiring may make contributions to Karmanos Cancer Research or Reverence Hospice. Patty was born in Flint, Michigan on Nov. 12th 1956 to William and Carol Amthor. She graduated from Holly High School in 1974 and received an Associate's degree from Baker Business School. Patty worked as a legal secretary in Clarkston for 25 years and another 6 years managing American Engineering. She married Steven Oxley on Sept, 16th 1978. They built a home outside Fenton and Patty enjoyed decorating her home, antiquing, knitting, gardening, reading, traveling, walking her dogs and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Steve, sons Bradley Oxley (Sara) and Brian Oxley (Tracie) six grandchildren Henry, Amelia, Benjamin, Stella, Oliver and Isaac, mother Carol Amthor, sisters Marliss Gulick and Kim Amthor, brother in law Mark Shaffer and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves a small, close knit group of friends who have remained steadfast for decades. She was preceded in death by her father William Amthor, sister Amy Amthor, niece Darin Miller and great niece Seth Thomas.
