GROSHEK, Patricia A - age 89, passed away, September 2, 2024, at Ascension - Genesys. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, September 6, 2024, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton, MI 48430 with Rev. Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Interment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430 where a rosary will be prayed at 7 PM Thursday evening. Visitation will also be held 10 AM - 11 AM Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or Powers Catholic High School (www.powerscatholic.org). Patricia was born January 9, 1935, in Flint, the daughter of Paul and Mary (Pancheck) Norko. She was a graduate of All Saints Catholic High School. Patricia married Dr. Norman Michael Groshek on June 8, 1957, and he preceded her in death on November 17, 2017. Patricia was crowned Miss AC Spark Plug in 1955. She was active in the Altar Societies of All Saints Catholic Church and St. Luke Catholic Church. She was a member of the Polish Legion of American Veterans. Patricia's number one priority was her family. She so looked forward to Freaky Friday's & Sunday Funday's with her entire crew of kids, grandkids & great grands! She will be missed by her daughter, Lisa (Dave) Keirsted of Fenton; son, Michael Groshek of Rochester; three grandchildren, Cassidy Groshek (Joshua), Tyler and Alexa Mattis; son in law Matt Mattis (Gwen); great-granddaughters, Eviana and Ezra; sister, Paula (Patrick) Flanigan; sister-in-law, Ann Groshek and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mary Norko, son Garret Groshek, sister, Debbie Swanson and husband, Dr. Norman Groshek. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
