Patricia Collins

COLLINS,  Patricia Ann, age 70, died Thursday, August 23, 2007 at McLaren Regional Medical Center.  Mrs. Collins was born in Flint on January 23, 1937, daughter of Henry E. and Irene (Raishe) Link.  She has lived in Swartz Creek for the past 37 years and had worked as a cashier at the Kroger Store in Swartz Creek.  She served on the Swartz Creek City Council from 1982 to 1996.  She married John M. Smith and later married Thomas G. Collins who preceded her in death in 1970. Surviving are her children: Corky and wife Chris Smith, Renee and husband Jim Dikos, Dean and wife Pam Smith, and Barry and wife Laurie Smith. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 9 Great-grandchildren, her sister Peggy and husband Skip Woodcock along with several nieces and nephews.  Cremation rites have occurred.  Relatives and friends of Mrs. Collins are invited to a celebration of her life at a memorial gathering to be held at her home on Monday, August  27, 2007 from 2 to 8 P.M.  Memorial contributions are being accepted for the Old Newsboys of Flint.
