Patricia Ann BURKE

BURKE, Patricia Ann (Makrayni) - Age 57, of Durand, formerly of Swartz Creek, died Friday, August 14, 2009 at Durand Rehabilitation and Senior Care. Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11AM Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek, Father Steve Makranyi and Deacon Rod Amon officiating. Burial at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at church on Tuesday from 10-11AM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Research Foundation. Patricia was born September 8, 1951 in Flint, the daughter of John J. and Irene M. (Farro) Makranyi. She graduated from Swartz Creek High School in 1969 and attended college shortly thereafter. Mrs. Burke resided in Anchorage, Alaska for 20 years, where she worked as a computer specialist. She returned to the Swartz Creek area in 1994. She attended St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Surviving are: sister, Kathleen Makranyi of Bellaire, MI; aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and former husband, James W. Burke.
