Patricia Barkiewicz

BARKIEWICZ, Patricia Marie- Age 69, of Burton, died Monday, October 10, 2016. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11AM Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Blessed Sacrament 6340 Roberta St. Burton. Father Andrew Czajkowski celebrant. Visitation will be 10AM until the time of mass. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Patricia was born June 20, 1947 the daughter of W.M. Joseph and Mary Ann (Handzes) Sendek. She married Frederick D. Barkiewicz on September 17, 1966. Patricia was a graduate of Utica High School and attended University of Michigan and Hurley School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse, most recently worked for the Red Cross as a CNA Instructor. Patricia loved to travel. She enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting, sewing and loved to read. Patricia was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She loved her dogs, Angel and Peanut. Patricia is survived by her husband, Fred; son, Keith (Jennifer) Barkiewicz of Burton; mother, MaryAnn Sendek; brother, Rodger (Gloria) Sendek, Gary (Marge) Sendek; sister, Judith (Richard) Miller, Debbie Jansen, Mary (Ronnie) Bejma; sister-in-law, Kathy Sendek; many nieces and nephews.
