Pamela Jean Thorp

THORP, Pamela Jean, age 56, of Howell, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor. Services will be 1:00PM Monday, December 7, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Rev. Don Neuville officiating. The family will receive friends 12PM Monday until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Pamela was born June 28, 1953 in Detroit the daughter of Clarence and Mildred (Qualman) Thorp. She married Ted Wilhelm in Highland in 1987. Pamela graduated from Bentley High School, Livonia and earned her Nursing Degree from Schoolcraft College. She practiced nursing in a variety of settings but most recently had been a self employed nursing consultant. Surviving are her husband Ted; step-daughter, Sheryl Wilhelm of Livonia; mother, Mildred Thorp of Dundee; two brothers, Richard Thorp of Dundee and Frederick Thorp (Carol) of North Carolina; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence and nephew, Christopher Thorp. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at St. Jospeh Mercy Hospital.
