Pamela Burke

BURKE, Pamela Sue (Pence) - age 77, of Grand Blanc, died February 9, 2021. Pam was born November 10, 1943, in Flint, the daughter of Joseph and Marjorie (Pellett) Pence, Jr.  She held a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Michigan and retired from Grand Blanc Community Schools.  Pam married C. Patrick Burke on November 7, 1999.

Pam was passionate about teaching and found opportunities for learning throughout her life.  She loved University of Michigan football, but even more so their marching band.  She knew all the songs and sang them loud and strong.  Many have been touched by her kind compassionate spirit and will always remember her bright smile and infectious laugh.

Pamela Sue Burke will be forever missed by her husband, Pat; two daughters, Stephanie (Erik) Kristen and Stacey Whipple (Geoff Fowler); two grandchildren, Mary and Thomas Kristen; three sisters, Martha (Richard) Kral, Mariellen (Daniel) Kutchey, and Suellen (Patric) Parker; nieces and nephews, and adoring students and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 S Saginaw St, Grand Blanc, MI 48439 with Fr. Leronio Vodivodi celebrant. The mass will be livestreamed at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWXl9FNx5mqQZ1UHRPIj5Tw/videos The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM Tuesday at the church.
