Oswald Meinzer

MEINZER, Oswald - Age 89, of Flushing, died January 7, 2016. A Memorial Service will be held 4 PM Saturday January 16 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Pastor Sam Hacker officiating. Visitation will be from 3 PM until time of service on Saturday, January 16. Those desiring may make contributions to Emanuel Lutheran Church in Flint. Oswald was born in Neudorf, Ukraine on March 30, 1926 the son of Gottlieb and Ida Meinzer. He married Lydia Michel on January 17, 1949 in Kapfenberg, Austria. Oswald was a General Motors retiree. He was also a longtime member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Flint. Oswald is survived by: his children, Olga Meinzer, Robert (Kay) Meinzer; grandchildren, Daniel Meinzer and Elaine Meinzer; many nieces and nephews.
