Oscar Eugene WAYCASTER, Sr.

WAYCASTER, Oscar Eugene, Sr. - Age 71, of Flint, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Brian's House, Davison. Services will be held 4:00 PM Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Pastor Frank Yount officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and Wednesday from 3:00 PM until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Oscar was born October 14, 1939 in Mullens, WV, the son of Fred and Beatrice (Ellis) Waycaster. He married Sandra Laxton and she preceded him in death August 10, 2008. He retired from Buick Plant 40. Oscar had resided in Flint for the past 42 years coming from West Virginia. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 599. Surviving are: sons, Oscar, Jr. (Kimberly) of Georgia, Richard of Flint, Robert (Dianna) of Flint, Steven "Mike" (Dee) of Texas, Brian of Flint; grandchildren, David, Jamison, Oscar III "Chip", Ricky, Candice, Robbie (Courtney), Melissa, Steven "Mikey", Kyle, Cody, Gage, Brian Jr; great grandchildren, James "JJ", Izaiah, Natalie; brothers, Bruce (Rose) Waycaster and Benny (Dawn) Waycaster; sisters, Linda (George) Hayden, Bernice Ragerio, Sue (Rick) Jenkins, Vileda Dempsey; sisters-in-law, Sue Burton, Mary (Buddy) Wise, Linda Terry; brother-in-law, John Laxton; several nieces and nephews.
