LEE, Oscar Alvin  Age 82, of Burton, died Thursday, December 30, 2004 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, January 3, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. Carl Petty officiating. Interment will be held at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be from 4-9 PM Saturday and 2-4 and 6-9 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to American Heart Association or Heritage Baptist Church. Mr. Lee was born April 10, 1922 in Rutherfordton, NC, the son of George M. and Rosetta Lee. He married Thelma L. Thorpe in Greenville, SC and she preceded him in death in November 20, 1991. Mr. Lee was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. Mr. Lee retried from GM Flint Metal Fabrication in 1983 after 25 years of service. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church and U.A.W. Local #659. He enjoyed working with wood and metal, spending time building, repairing and rebuilding many items. Mr. Lee was a devoted family man. Surviving are: five children, Mavis C. and husband, Paul F. Waldrop, Sr. of Flint, William David Lee and wife, Kay of Flushing, Ronald E. Lee and wife, Laura of Flint, Robert W. Lee and wife, JoAn of Flint, Patricia A. and husband, Hector Pena of Swartz Creek; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Riddle of Asheville, NC; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by: infant son, Alvin Vincent; his parents; his parents-in-law; two sisters, Dorothy Painter, Ruby Marley; a brother; grandson, Scott; great-grandson, William.
