Orla Grant PAYNE

PAYNE, Orla "Grant" - Age 50, of Flint, died Sunday, January 23, 2011 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 5-9 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Orla Grant Payne Memorial Fund. Mr. Payne was born February 2, 1960 in Flint, the son of Carroll and Margaret (Hart) Payne. He was a 1978 graduate of Carmen High School. He has resided in Flint for most of his life. Mr. Payne married Pamela Blankenship October 4, 2003 in Farwell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Surviving are: wife, Pamela Crafts; 4 children, Sarah Crafts of Flint, Angie Payne of Iowa, Krystal Payne of Iowa and Preston Payne of Alabama; 2 granddaughters, Chloe and Leah; brother, Mike Payne of Cass City; 2 sisters, Margo Payne of Farwell and Beth Little of Farwell; several nieces and nephews.
