Oral Warren White

WHITE, Oral Warren -- Age 82, of Linden, died Thursday, May 24, 2007 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Sunday, May 27, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until the time of service Sunday. Those desiring may make contributions to Linden Presbyterian Church. Oral was born August 8, 1924 in Fenton Twp., the son of Harold B. and Elva (Yerian) White. He was married to Ellen Phillips on June 26, 1943; she preceded him in death on December 30, 2002. Mr. White was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from General Motors Proving Grounds in 1980 with 29 years of service. Surviving are: children, Janet (David) Welch of Grand Blanc, Linda (Frank) Fell of Florida, Vernon (Micki) White of Tennessee; grandchildren, Michelle (Adam) Wightman of DeWitt, Johnathan (Elizabeth) Flick of Ypsilanti, Shannon (Larry) Bennett of TN, Eric White of TN; great-grandchildren, Cole and Kara Wightman, Ian Flick; brother, Harold (Earlyn) White of Fenton; sister Helen Ramsey of Linden; sisters-in-law, Audrey Hyde and Claribel Hoffman of Linden. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Singleton. The family would like to thank Pete VanDriessche and Neil Braun for all of their care and kindness.
