Olive Maxine CONDON

CONDON, Olive Maxine - Age 80, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, January 12, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, January 16, 2012 at Faith Tabernacle Church, 1225 S. Center Road, Flint, luncheon immediately follow. Pastor Bruce Garner officiating. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Saturday from 6-9 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Old Newsboys or Grace Hospice. Mrs. Condon was born August 19, 1931 in Flint, the daughter of Clarence and Olive (Johnson) Delling. She married Jack L. Condon July 17, 1948 in Flint. Mrs. Condon had resided in the Swartz Creek area her entire life. She and her husband Jack had wintered in Winterhaven, FL for 13 years. She enjoyed baking, traveling, camping and crossword puzzles, but her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. She also was known as the "Cookie Lady". Surviving are: husband, Jack L.; 4 children, Jerry and wife Kyle Condon of Swartz Creek, Carla and husband Thomas Aurand of Swartz Creek, Debra and husband Ronnie Hensley of Flint and Raymond and wife Susie Condon of Dearborn; 6 grandchildren, Jackie (Kenneth) Berton of Tavares, FL, Wendy (Chris) Melfi of Swartz Creek, Holly (Charles) Fridline of Flint, Thomas (Renee) Aurand of Swartz Creek, Zachary Condon of Dearborn and Zeina Condon of Dearborn; 7 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Clarence and William Delling; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters and 4 brothers. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Grace Hospice especially Sara.
