Olga SIPPERT

SIPPERT, Olga - age 91, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the German Church of God, 2393 S. Elms Road, Swartz Creek, with Pastor Waldemar Makus officiating. Interment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to Christian Unity Press, P.O. Box 527, York, NE 68467. Mrs. Sippert was born December 24, 1919 in Germany, the daughter of August and Mathilde (Ritter) Schmalz. She married Reinhold Sippert on June 9, 1939 in Germany. Mrs. Sippert was a founding member of the German Church of God in Swartz Creek and a member of the UAW Local 1292. Mrs. Sippert enjoyed cooking, baking german tortes, flower and vegetable gardening, and spending time with her family. Surviving are: three children, Heidi and husband Samuel Fendert of Swartz Creek, Harry Sippert and wife Mary of Swartz Creek, Robert Sippert of Flint; six grandchildren, Siegbert Fendert and wife Cheri of OH, Ronald Fendert and wife Janet of Flint, Gordon Fendert of Linden, June and husband Glen Berndt of Burton, Debbie Sippert, and Brian Sippert and wife Jessica; one great-grandchild Madison; sister Ruth and husband Werner Kuckuk of Germany; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Reinhold in 2008; and son Kurt in 1994. A special thanks to the staff at Swank, Dr. Schumacher, Pastor Makus and his wife and also Jim.
