Norman Jerome LEWIS

LEWIS, Dr. Norman J. -- Age 76, of Flint Township, died October 22, 2010 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Monday, October 25 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Rabbi Karen Companez officiating. Interment in Machpelah Cemetery, Flint. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society or the charity of choice. Norman was born July 15, 1934 in Flint the son of Albert and Anna (Bowman) Lewis. He married Melba Maltenfort on August 10, 1958 in Chicago. He was a graduate of the U of M School of Dentistry. He then served in the U.S. Air Force for two years stationed in Kansas City. Dr. Lewis practiced dentistry on Richfield Road in the Thompson Shopping Center for 30 years. He enjoyed skeet and trapshooting, and was supportive of his families ventures. He was a wonderful friend. Surviving are: wife Melba; two children, Aaron and wife Teresa of Mesa AZ, Kathy Flanigan of Chicago; two grandchildren, Shawn Lewis and Devlin Flanigan.
