Norman Hallett

HALLETT, Norman LeRoy - Age 94, of Flint, died Tuesday, September 22, 2015. A memorial service will be held 4PM Friday, September 25, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Visitation will be held 2PM until time of service. Pastor Steve Hittle officiating. Those desiring may make contributions to Heartland Hospice. Norman was born in Clarkston, Michigan, the son of the late Walter and Viola (Pittenger) Hallett. Mr. Hallett married Ellen Scovill in Flint, on October 18, 1941, she preceded him in death on December 24, 2003. Norman served his country in the Air Force during WWII. He retired in 1971 from the Flint Fire Department as a pump driver with 25 years and was a lifetime member of the Davison VFW Post 4087. Surviving are: children, Kenneth (Marilyn) Hallett of North Ft. Myers, FL, Norman Dennis (Candace) Hallett of Saginaw, Marilyn (Ronald) Lord of Flint; 9 grandchildren, Brian (Kim) Hallett, Kendra (Greg) Tuscher, Jeff (Julie) Hallett, Sherri Hallett, Tamala (Ed) Warren, Tina (James) Newsome, Ronald (Nichole) Lord, Stephanie (Jason) Lenger, Kevin (Stephanie) Hallett; 16 great grandchildren, Courtney Hendricks, Jessica Sargent, Logan and Skylar Hallett, Benjamin Hogendyk, Samuel and Joel Tuscher, Sarah and Katie Reeves, Cassandra, Sawyer, and Matthew Hallett, Conner and Nicholas Warren, Timothy Brewer, MacKenzie, Patrick, Clayton and Colin Lord, Cameron Hutson, Mason Hallett, Sophia and Violet Lenger; 2 great great grandchildren, Marley and Zane Sargent; 3 sisters, Ardis Hallett, Beatrice Bargo and Viola June Mooney. He was also survived by a very special friend Evelyn Freeman. Norman was also preceded in death by his grandson, Scott Hallett; 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
