Norman Allison Gettler

GETTLER, Norman Allison - Age 84, of Gaines died July 21, 2024. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, July 25, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton, MI 48430 with Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6 PM - 8 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473. Norman was born July 22, 1939 in Flint, the son of Lester Charles and Patricia Louise (Smith) Gettler. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Norman married Mary Alice Mathers on June 24, 1961. He owned and operated Certified Service Appliance Repair for 40 years. Norman was an avid hunter traveling to Canada and Africa to hunt. He was very proud of his many mounts. Surviving are: wife, Mary; four children, Michelle Gettler, Lorri Gettler, Michael Gettler and Matthew (Kerry) Gettler, all of Gaines; two granddaughters.
