DENNERT, Norman Paul Sr. - Age 80, of Linden, died Saturday, December 3, 2011. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, with Pastor Seth Normington officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Sunday, 1-4 & 6-8 PM Monday and from 11 AM until the time of service on Tuesday. Those desiring may make contributions to Linden Presbyterian Church. Norman was born January 24, 1931 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Henry and Marie (Engler) Dennert. He was married to Marcella E. Emich on June 4, 1950. Mr. Dennert served in the U.S. Naval Reserves from 1948-1952. He retired from General Motors in 1975 with 24 years of service. He was a life member of Linden F&AM Lodge#132, life member and past Patron of Linden O.E.S. Chapter #175. Mr. Dennert served as an Elder at Linden Presbyterian Church and was a life member and past president of Fenton Lakes Sportsman Club. Surviving are: wife, Marcy; children, Linda McCready, Sharon and Phillip Sloan, Kathleen and Steve Atkinson all of Fenton; grandchildren, Norman "Skip" and Kathy Dennert III, Jennifer (Sloan) and Ryan Day, Jeremy and Ann Sloan, Rebecca (Atkinson) and Steve Pedrofti, Melissa McCready, Stephen and Amy Atkinson, Christina (Dennert) and Jeremy Alber, Michelle (McCready) and Mike Slater, Michael McCready; great-grandchildren, Norman and Molly Dennert, Brendan and Breleigh Day, Jonathan and Elizabeth Sloan, Savannah and Sydney Alber.
