CRAIN, Norman Ray - Age 90, of Swartz Creek, died June 22, 2021. Funeral Services will be held 1 PM Friday June 25, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Paul Kollek officiating. (A live-streaming of his funeral service will be available on Norman's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be 2PM - 7PM Thursday and from 11AM until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
Norman was born November 14, 1930 in Flint the son of Robert and Florence (Mills) Crain. He attended Whittier Middle School, and graduated from Flint Central High School in 1948, and played Football for both schools. He married Patricia Crain on December 23, 1984 in Swartz Creek. Norman was employed at GM retiring in 1987 with 38 years of service. He was a member of the Durand Eagles, Swartz Creek VFW, American Legion and the Houghton Lake Moose Lodge. He enjoyed playing golf, and scored 2 hole in ones. He also enjoyed bowling and hunting, and watching all sports. He is survived by his children, Dana (Kim) Crain, Lisa (Shellie) Lovejoy, Rod (Michelle) Crain; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister, June (Whitey) Weaver; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; 2 daughters, Susie Crain and Vickie Hartley. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
