Norma Powell

POWELL, Norma Lee - age 78, of Highland, died Saturday, February 16, 2008 at her daughter's residence. Services will be held 1 PM Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton with Pastor Jack McMaster officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitaion will be held 6-9 PM Sunday and 2-4 and 6-9 PM Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the family. She was born September 6, 1929 in Farmington, the daughter of Lester Samuel and Ella Roxanne (Jones) Oliver. She married Herbert Donald Powell on November 23, 1946 and he preceded her in death on April 17, 2001. Surviving are: son, Brian (Carol) Powell of Clio; two daughters, Charlene (Edward) Lorion of Linden, Peggy Joyce (Scott) Szostkowski of Highland; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Kuzma; three brothers, Donald (Sandra), Lester (Joyce) and Nelson Oliver; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Shirley Sylvain and the late Marge Farnell.
