Norma Jean MUELLER

MUELLER, Norma Jean (Lewis) - Age 77, of Swartz Creek, entered the Kingdom of God on June 27, 2010. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the United Methodist Church of Swartz Creek, 7400 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Rev. J.D. Landis will officiate. Luncheon will follow at the church. Visitation will be held 4-8:30 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or Swartz Creek United Methodist Church Building Fund. Norma was born at home on January 18, 1933 in the Beecher Area, the daughter of Russell and Dorothy (Romines) Lewis. She received her diploma from her father who served on the Beecher School Board. She married William Mueller of September 6, 1958. Surviving are: husband, William; sons, Douglas Allen (Vicki), John William (Janine) and Gary Edward (Rachel); four granddaughters, Ali, Emmi, Reese and Riley; grandson, Dylan; sister, Barbara Pray of Plymouth; brother, David Lewis (Debbie) of Burton. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church for many years and served on Aglow International for over 30 years, serving as a Local Officer, Area Officer, and the State Convention Board. She decorated cakes for eighteen years and belonged to the Cake Club. She was a member of the Dirty Dozen Card Club Girls, all members had graduated from Beecher High School Class of 1951. This club started in 1957 and as of today, still meets monthly. The family would like to give special thanks to McLaren 11th Floor staff physicians & staff, Hospice and Great Lakes Cancer Center for their exceptional care.
