Norma Hanks

HANKS, Norma Irene - Age 84, of Flint, died Wednesday May 1, 2019. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Monday, May 6, 2019 at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, 2020 Hill Road, Grand Blanc with visitation being held from 12:00PM until time of service. Burial to follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Norma was born September 2, 1934 in Pontiac, Michigan the daughter of the late Harry and Marion (Cross) Snelling. She married Marvin Hanks in Angola, Indiana on May 2, 1953 and he preceded her in death on December 2, 1991. Norma enjoyed crocheting, reading, gardening, search a word puzzles and playing cards. She retired from the Swartz Creek School District as a bus driver with 19 years of service. Surviving are: children, Lynn Amie of Grand Blanc, Tim (Pam Robinson) Hanks of Flint, Dianna Hanks of Flint, Karen Shobert of Gand Blanc; grandchildren, Anthony (Jenn) Hatch of Frankenmuth, Jason (Rachel) Hatch of Flint, Bradley (Jenna) Shobert of PA, James (Sarah) Shobert of VA and 9 great grandchildren. Norma was also survived by her brothers, Richard (Joyce) Snelling of Pontiac, Roger (Beverly) Snelling of Waterford; sister-in-law, Bernice Lane of Oxford and many nieces and nephews.
