Norma Gibson

GIBSON, Norma Jean - Age 75, of Flint, died Thursday, November 2, 2017. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, November 6, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Area 13 Special Olympics, 1493 W. Maple Ave, Flint, MI 48507. Norma was born July 7, 1942 in Leachville, AR, the daughter of Jack and Kathleen (Hall) Shrable. She married L.D. Gibson October 24, 1959 in Flint and he preceded her in death May 20, 2008. She had resided in Flint for most of her life. Norma retired from Carman Ainsworth Food Service after over 25 years of service. She loved her family and especially watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are: son, Tony and wife Martha Gibson of Flint; grandchildren, Aaron and wife Kaitlynn Gibson of Flint and Abby Gibson of Flint; great grandchildren, Korbin, Alice, and Nora Gibson; sister, Betty Allen of Florida; nieces and nephews; and friends, Sandy Wohlford and Jeri Hill. She was also preceded by her parents; daughter, Katherine Gibson; granddaughter, Autumn Gibson; and great grandson, Parker Gibson; and best friend, Jean Ham.
