ELSTON, Norma Kathleen "Kay" - of Linden/Fenton, died September 29, 2012. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Linden Presbyterian Church, 119 W. Broad St., Linden with Pastor Seth Normington officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held 1-3 & 5-8 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden and from 9:45 AM until the time of service Wednesday at the church. A V.F.W Auxiliary memorial service will precede the funeral service by the Fenton V.F.W Post#3243 Auxiliary. Those desiring may make contributions to the Loose Senior Center or Linden Presbyterian Church. Kay was born December 30, 1933 in Detroit, the daughter of William Kenneth and Norma I. (Smyth) Riddell. She graduated from Clarenceville High School Class of 1951. She married Wells E. "Bud" Elston on August 28, 1954 and enjoyed 46 happy years with him. Kay was a stay at home mother and a helpful partner with her husband's business, Bud Elston's Typewriter Service. She was a longtime member of Linden Presbyterian Church serving as Elder and Deacon. She was Queen Mother of her Red Hat Society, a member of Loose Senior Center, Fenton V.F.W Auxiliary, TOPS club and Euchre Club. Her greatest love was her children; she always had time for them. Surviving are: children, Kathleen Elizabeth (Larry) Marek of Summit Hill, PA, David Eugene(Susanne) Elston of Corunna, Kenneth R. (Kristen) Elston of Philadelphia, PA, Marjorie Anne Elston of Burton, Sherry Diane (Norman) Freeman of Fenton,; eight grandchildren, Emily, Erin, Elizabeth, Matthew, Courtney, Jessica, Lauren and Scott; eight great-grandchildren sister, Dorothy LeDuc of Billings, MT.
