Norma Dean Bundschuh - age 94, of Swartz Creek, went to be with the Lord October 1, 2021, with her family by her side. Her passion was loving the Lord and her family of 7 children, 22 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. She loved cowboy movies, western music, and teaching the Bible. A member of Cornerstone Baptist Church for 74 years, her favorite time was spent teaching Sunday school, Bible school and singing with the choir and solo. Norma continued to teach bible study at senior living facilities until her health prevented her from doing so. She loved holidays and big family gatherings where she could rock the newest babies, and she would entertain the family with her music. Born in Centralia, Illinois August 26, 1927, the daughter of Carl and Julia (Hayden) Bundschuh, she moved to Flint, Mi. with her family as a child. A talented musician, she learned to sing and play the guitar at an early age. After graduating from Central High School in Flint, she traveled with the Aloha Girls Guitar Band, and she was crowned most beautiful. She met her future husband, Lloyd Ivan Charles, at church and they married during June 1948. Her focus became raising their seven children and serving the Lord and her church.
Norma is survived by six of her children: Linda Dean (Michael) Hamacher, Daniel Lloyd Charles (Pam Duncan) of Flushing, Mark Edgar Charles (Kimdolyn) of Flint and Melbourne, Florida, Randall Carl Charles (April) of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, Vicki Lynn (Ronald) Kinney of Lennon, Mi., and Tina Marie (Val) Chappell of Gainesville, Virginia.
