Nola Conlen

CONLEN, Nola Louise - age 92, of Swartz Creek, died Saturday, March 7, 2015 at McLaren - Flint. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, March 12, 2015 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek with Fr. Louis Ekka celebrant. Interment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a rosary will be prayed at 7 PM Wednesday evening. Visitation will also be held 10 - 11 AM Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church or the Swartz Creek Senior Center. Nola was born August 12, 1922 the daughter of William and Nellie Conlen and lived in the Swartz Creek area her entire life. She worked for the US Draft Board for two years and then Fisher Body Accounting Department retiring after 36 years. She was a member of St. Mary's CCW, 40 Sewing Club, IBG Retirees and the Swartz Creek Senior Center. Her favorite things were traveling and playing cards. Surviving are: sister-in-law, Eloise Conlen of Flint; nieces and nephews, Cathie Conlen of Flushing, Tim Conlen of Findlay, OH, Paul Conlen of Traverse City, Martha and John Earhart of Findlay, OH, David Wilson, and Bill Conlen; great niece, Megan Earhart of Findlay, OH.
