FRANCIS, Noel M. Jr.- Age 77, of Fenton, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at his residence. Funeral mass will be celebrated 1:00 PM Saturday, March 12, 2005 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes; Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton from 1-4 and 6-9 PM Friday where a vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM.. Those desiring may make contributions to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church or Genesys Hospice. Noel was born July 2, 1927 the son of Noel M. Sr. and Frances M. (Lyon) Francis. He graduated from Fenton High School in 1947 and attended Oakland University, U of M, G.M.I. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy. He married Wilma G. Sturgis August 16, 1947 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He retired from GM Service Parts Operations in 1982 with 36 ï¿Â½,« years of service as plant supervisor. He had resided in Fenton most of his life, but had resided in Hot Springs Village, AR for 18 years after retirement before moving back to Michigan 5 years ago.. He also was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #7418. Fenton V.F.W. Curtis-Wolverton Post #3243, Loose Senior Citizen Center in Linden. Surviving are: wife, Wilma G.; daughter, Lynn and husband Gary Rashleigh of Toledo, OH; son, Bradley and wife Christina Francis of Gaines; beloved daughter-in-law, Liz Francis of Brownsville, TX; 8 grandchildren, Charles and wife Imelda Rashleigh, Andrea and husband Michael Bavineau, Angela and husband Joel Anderson, Michael and wife Sandra Francis, Monica Francis, Tim Rashleigh, Jessica Francis, Joshua Francis; 7 great-grandchildren, Michaela and Matthew Francis, Ryleigh and Cal Bavineau, Lucas Anderson, Jack Rashleigh, Michael Arteaga; sister, Carman Schultz of Houston, TX; brother, Ralph and wife Kelly Castillo of Texas City, Texas; special cousin, Howard and wife Joan Lyon of Hot Springs, AR; many nieces and nephews.
