Nicola Ellin 'Niki' KOSTKA

KOSTKA, Nicola Ellin, "Niki" age 64, of Flint, passed away Monday, April 5, 2010, at Genesys Health Park. Graveside services will be held 10AM Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Niki was born July 27, 1945, in Flint, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mabel (Bean) Kostka. Niki attended St. Agnes High School and graduated from Grand Blanc High School. She earned her Masters Degree from Michigan Technological University, and had taught at International Academy in Flint. Niki loved the era of the 1960's, from music to clothing to home decor and she loved to collect antique glassware. Niki was brilliantly witty, with a great sense of humor, even in her last stages of life. She was loved dearly and will be remembered always. Surviving are her 4 Children, William Woolman (Mary) of Hancock; Joseph Wilde (Chrissy) of Ventura, CA,; Rachel Youmans, Sarah Youmans; 10 Grandchildren; Beloved Sisters, Patsy Borden of Davison, Judith Awrylo (Al) of Gaines, Stephanie "Stevie" Kostka of Flint, and Step-Sister Patricia Konesny (Joe) of Swartz Creek, 12 Nieces and Nephews, "The Niece"- Christine, Susan, Lorrie, Michael, Matthew, Andrew, Dottie, Gerianne, Cynthia, John, A.J., and Charlie and her pet Yorkie, Saki. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Youmans; brother, Michael Kostka, Step-Mother Stephanie C. Kostka, Step-Brother Lt. Cln. James Marnell, and Step-Sister Julieann Marnell Kostka.
