Neta Hammel

HAMMEL, Neta Mae - age 73, of Burton, died Monday, November 2, 2015 at her residence. Services will be held 11 AM Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint with Pastor Jack Dowen officiating. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-9 Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer. Mrs. Hammel was born December 3, 1941 in Holly, the daughter of Earl William and Ida Mae (Hubbard) Ballard. She retired from Genesys Health Systems as a certified nurses aide. She married William Hammel on August 10, 1996 and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Surviving are: husband, William Hammel; five sons; three daughters-in-law; 11 grandchildren; and two nephews and their families.
