Nellie Kershaw

KERSHAW, Nellie Mae - Age 80, of Swartz Creek, died Monday November 15, 2021. Funeral services will be held 1PM Monday November 22, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Sang Chun officiating. Visitation will be held 6PM-8PM Sunday and 11AM until time of service on Monday. Nellie was born May 5, 1941 in Traverse City, the daughter of Jesse and Nancy (Tripplet) Hittle. She married Herbert "Ray" Kershaw in Columbiaville on November 30, 1961. Nellie retired from General Motors, A.C. Spark Plug with 25 years of service. She enjoyed quilting and attending classic car shows with her husband Ray. She was a member of Atherton United Methodist Church and enjoyed going to church activities. Surviving are: husband of 60 years, Herbert "Ray" Kershaw of Swartz Creek; children, Ian Kershaw of Pontiac; Audry Hill of Flint Twp. Marvin (Bethany) Diem of Flushing; grandchildren, Tiffany Frary of Flint Twp. Melissa Moore, Swartz Creek; Samatha Cooper of Metamora; great grandchildren, Alex Frary, Claire Moore, Madison Moore, Twins, Lily and Gracie Moore. She is also survived by her brothers, Jesse (Darlene) Hittle, Phillip (Mary Jane) Hittle, David (Ruth) Hittle, John (Carol) Hittle, Steven Hittle, Paul Hittle; sisters, Nancy (Wayne) Pringle, Ella (Jerry) Green, Joyce (Gary) Sullivan, Laural Ann (Richard) Wingardner and many nieces and nephews. Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Nancy Hittle; brother, Albert Hittle; grandson. John Moore and nephews, Gary Sullivan and Andrew Hittle.
