Neil Seaward

Neil R. Seaward, age 71, of Flint Township, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023. Services will be held in private; the family asks that you continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Neil was born in Detroit, Michigan. He married Mary Beth, the love of his life, and they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He retired from General Motors in management after thirty-seven years. Neil attended Court St. United Methodist Church in Flint. He was a community activist and regularly volunteered in both Flint Township and Genesee County. He actively lived his life as a strong advocate for community safety as well as diversity, equity and inclusion.

A strong passion of Neil's was music; he enjoyed playing the French Horn with many orchestras and ensembles in the Detroit and Flint areas. Neil stayed active by kickboxing, biking, hiking, and working in his yard. He also enjoyed wine tasting with friends and playing with his grandson.

Neil is survived by his dear wife, Mary Beth, his two daughters Rebecca and Julie (John), and one grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
