Neil S. Rich

RICH, Neil S. - Age 74, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, November 18, 2004 at home. Mr. Rich was born in Flint on September 7, 1930, the son of Arthur and Ruth (Barker) Rich. He had been a Flint area resident most of his lifetime. He married Betty Beltinck in April of 1952 and she preceded him in death in 1977. In 1990, he married Doris L'Hommedieu and she survives him. He was a tool and die maker, having retired from Fisher Body Division #1 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Swartz Creek Church of Christ, was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in Germany. He was an avid golfer and had been a minor league baseball player as a civilian and also with the Air Force baseball league. Surviving is his wife, Doris; his children, Kim (Kimberly) Rich, Douglas (Sandy) Rich, Craig Rich, Sandra (Dennis) L'Hommedieu, Jill (Harold) Higgerson, Leann Haddix and Linda (Kelly) Bukosky. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, a brother Robert (Elaine) Rich and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 4PM Saturday, November 20, 2004 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. Minister Mark Aites will officiate. Services will conclude at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-8PM Friday and Saturday from 11AM until service time.
