LEUNEBERG, Neil Otto - Age 80, of Flint/Fenton, died Monday, November 23, 2020. A private family service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Public visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 11 AM - 1 PM. Those desiring may make contribution to the Neil O. Leuneberg Memorial Fund.
Neil was born December 10, 1939 in Ann Arbor, the son of Walter and Dorothy (Ashfal) Leuneberg. He was a 1958 graduate of Fenton High School. He married Barbara Ranney Wagner January 13, 1976 in Flint. He owned and operated Leuneberg Builders, a residential builder for over 40 years. Neil had resided in the Fenton area since 1949 coming from Dexter. He was a member of the Fenton Moose Lodge.
Surviving are: his wife, Barbara; Todd Leuneberg (Renee) of Flint and his children, Alan and Alicia, Sandra Townsend (Keith) of Davison and her children, Shelby and Dillon, Mark Wagner (fiancee' Pattie) of Fowlerville and his children, Caitlyn, Richard, Alicia, Chris, and Dylan, Michelle Johnson (Terry) of Burton and her children, Kandice, Matthew (Eden), and Daniel, and Michael Wagner of California and his children, Madeline and Hunter; and several great grandchildren; sister, Elaine Addis of Holly; brother, Bruce Leuneberg (Carol) of Colorado; several nieces and nephews; and best friends, Maryann Enix and Richard and Linda Wagner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Matthew Carl Wagner; brothers, Floyd and Alvin Leuneberg; and sisters-in-law, Marjorie Leuneberg and Jody Ranney. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
