Campbell, Neil J.  - Age 79, of  Flushing, formerly of Flint, died July 30, 2021. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 11:00 am Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Road, Swartz Creek. Father Louis Ekka Celebrant. Burial will follow in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes,  8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek and 10:00 AM until the service time Tuesday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Neil was born March 29, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Neil Charles and Barbara  (Weiler) Campbell. He married Elaine Ahearn on August 28, 1965 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Sanford. Neil was proudly employed with Buick for 35.5 years where he was a new car repairman. He currently is a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #6694 Swartz Creek, also a 4th Degree member of Assembly #2211, and formerly served as 4th Degree Faithful Navigator of Assembly #510, Burton. He was a member of Holy Redeemer, where he served as an usher for many years and was a member at St. Mary's Queen of Angels Catholic Church. He was an extremely active participant in the Back to the Bricks events with his 65’ Chevy truck.  Neil was a talented welder, using his skill to make and sell metal yard art. He was an avid Red Wings fan.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elaine; children, Barbara Grimes, Kristine (David) Anderson, Bruce (Gina) Campbell, Rodney Campbell, and Sarah Henning; grandchildren, Kaity (Andrew) Vettel, Bill Grimes, Joseph, Joshua and Nicholas Anderson, Jacob, Ana (Michael Vass), and Miranda Campbell, Lillian, Harper and Elliette Henning; great-grandchildren, Zayden Anderson, Brynnley, Hudson and Lincoln Vettel; sister, Shirley Drummond; brother, Duncan Campbell; son-in-law, Bill Grimes; several nieces and nephews; dear friend, Donna Armstrong; and beloved cat, TJ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark A. Campbell; and brother, Robert Campbell.
