PYLES, Natalie Elizabeth Gottleber -- Age 90, of Swartz Creek, died December 5, 2006 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Saturday, December 9 at the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, 7400 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Pastor J.D. Landis officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-9 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek; and at the church from 1 PM until the time of service Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church or Avalon Hospice. Natalie was born April 20, 1916 in Saginaw, the daughter of Theodore and Laura (Maurer) Vasold. She was a 1933 graduate of Saginaw Arthur Hill High School. She married Harry F. Gottleber on June 16, 1936 and he preceded her in death in 1961. She then married Theodore R. 'Ron' Pyles on February 5, 1966 and he preceded her in death in 1999. She had been employed by Smith Bridgmans for 12 years. Natalie was a talented Porcelain artist, flower gardener, and seamstress. She was a member of the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, National African Violet Society, International Porcelain Artists, International Orchid Society, Swartz Creek Womens Club, Swartz Creek Handicraft Club, and served on the Swartz Creek Parks Board for 6 years. Surviving are: two children, Karl Gottleber and wife Mary of Houghton Lake, Karan and husband Dr. Dennis Pinkston of Swartz Creek; three grandchildren, Dr. Jeffrey Pinkston and wife Aubri of Linden, Wendy and husband Jared Godfrey of Richmond, VA, Eric Gottleber and wife Heather of Midland; three great-grandchildren, Emily Greenway, Ava Anne Pinkston, and Lillian Nicole Godfrey; sister, Lenore and husband Richard Gottleber of Frankenmuth; sister-in-law, Marion Vasold of Stuart, FL; step-grandchildren, Cathy Dieck, Ron Dieck and wife Shirley; step-great-grandchildren, Jordan and Justin Dieck.
