Naomi Ruth Murray

MURRAY, Naomi Ruth Walton  Age 72, of Grand Blanc, died Thursday, September 16, 2004 at Genesys Health Park. Services will be held 4 PM Sunday, September 19, 2004 at First Presbyterian Church of Flint, 746 S. Saginaw St., Dr. Jerry Pitman will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the charity of ones choice. Naomi was born September 11, 1932 in Des Plaines, IL, the daughter of Frank W. and Jessie (Small) Walton. She was a graduate of Des Plaines High School and went on to receive a Bachelors Degree in Education from Albion College. She was married to James B. Murray on August 7, 1954 in Des Plaines. Mrs. Murray was very active in community charity boards. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club. Mrs. Murray was also a past member of the Junior League of Flint. Surviving are: husband, James; daughter, Carrie Murray McGuirk of Florida; granddaughters, Katelyn and Courtney; brother, Dwight and wife Lou Walton of Arlington Heights, IL; many nieces and nephews.
