Naomi Ruth Jacot, age 80, of Flint, the kindest, sweetest, most big hearted wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
Naomi was born on October 24, 1943 in Elk City, Oklahoma the daughter of Reverend VE and Mary (Morris) Gibson. She was a 1962 graduate of Flint Southwestern. Naomi worked for many years at GM A/C Delco, until her retirement. She was united in marriage to Richard Jacot on February 21, 1984. She loved her Swartz Creek home and spending time with family. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, fishing, boating, watching birds (her favorite being the hummingbirds), and spending time in Oscoda, Michigan.
She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Richard; son, Edward (Shelly) Cross; grandson, Brandon Cross; siblings, Patsy (Cline) Blount, Gloria York and Laqueta (Gary) Strawn; stepchildren; Julie Jacot, Peggy (Carl) Sheffer, Terrie (Rick) Richardson, Shelly (Rob) Owen, Sandy (Dave) Jacot-Wood, and many other distant relatives.
In addition to her parents, Naomi was preceded in death by her siblings, Lowell Gibson, Faye VanBeenen and MaryLou Englehard. Private arrangements were entrusted to Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI, with a Celebration of Life to follow at a later date.
