PERKINS, Naoma Evah -- Age 93, of Swartz Creek, died June 26, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, June 30 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Pastor Kevin Harbin officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday, 1 PM until the time of the service Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Perkins Libraries. Naoma was born January 4, 1919 in Venice Township the daughter of Thad and Hazel (Long) Frasier. She was a 1936 graduate of Owosso High School. She married Stanley Cozadd Perkins on February 14, 1938 in Swartz Creek; he preceded her in death September 30, 2006. She was extraordinary at quilting, crocheting, and embroidering. Surviving are: two daughters, Marilyn and husband David Scheidemantel of Flushing, Maxine and husband George Ryva of Colts Neck, NJ; grandson Peter and wife Lisa Ryva of Ellicott City, MD; granddaughter Susan Ryva and husband Richard Rodriguez of Indianapolis, IN; great-grandchildren Eric and Karly Ryva, Samantha and Megan Rodriquez.
