Nancy Ann Mahorney

MAHORNEY, Nancy Ann  Age 102, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at Willowbrook Manor. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, August 23, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Mr. Bill Maguffee officiating. Interment will be held at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held from 2-6 PM Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Mahorney was born January 16, 1901 in Oklahoma, the daughter of Dennis and Frona (Jackson) Carter. She married Lawrence Mahorney on November 3, 1918 and he preceded her in death in December 1977. She was a member of the Swartz Creek Church of Christ. Surviving are: daughter, Dorothy A. Lafata of Swartz Creek; two daughters-in-law, Lucille Mahorney of Conway, SC, Ardith Mahorney of Chicago, IL; six grandchildren, Catherine Cummins, Janice Elliot, Valerie Hargreaves, Scott Mahorney, Monica Johnson, and Marcia Finks; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by: her parents; two sons, Roy and Kenneth Mahorney; grandson, Lawrence Larry Mahorney. The family would like to thank Laura and Judy of I.H.S. Hospice.
