LAWSHE, Nancy Grace - Age 94, of Fenton, died Monday, August 14, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Fenton United Methodist Church, 119 S. Leroy St. Fenton. Pastor Jeff Jaggers officiating. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Friday from 5-8 PM and at church Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Fenton United Methodist Church. Nancy was born February 2, 1923 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Sante Goodwin and Grace Elsie (Walters) Olson. She received her Bachelor's of Arts Degree from Cornell College and her Teacher certification from Wayne State University. She married William Hoke Lawshe, Jr. June 21, 1947 in Chicago, IL and he preceded her in death May 6, 2004. She retired in 1984 from Redford Union Schools as a elementary teacher after 22 1/2 years of service. Nancy was a member of Fenton United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Surviving are: her sons, William (Linda) Lawshe, III of Traverse City, John (Cheryl) Lawshe of Ellendale, DE, and Robert Lawshe of Royal Oak; grandchildren, Jason (Christine) Lawshe, Benjamin (Kelly Rehahn) Lawshe, Jaime (Rodney) Lawshe-Butler, Brigitte (Tim) Crawford, and Erik (Nicole Aeder) Lawshe; and 5 great grandchildren.
