Nancy A. Henry, age 71, of Flint, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at her home on Thursday, January 16, 2025. Nancy was born on September 10, 1953, in Flint, Michigan to the late Harold & Pearl Lawrence. She earned her bachelor's degree in early education. Nancy's God given gift was working with children. Being an elementary school teacher certainly gave her life much meaning and purpose. Nancy worked for the Flint School District till 2004.

Nancy was a God-fearing Christian woman. She and her husband, Greg, are members to Carpenter House Apostolic Church in Fenton. There she attended the Thursday morning Women's Bible Study. Nancy loved scripture and fellowship with her brothers and sisters in Christ. Nancy was a simple woman and loved the comforts of home, her favorite place to be was on the back deck soaking up sunshine with her dog, Nina. Nancy adored her family and loved her grandchildren dearly. Those who knew her best will miss her "laughing smile".

She is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Gregory Henry; her son, Gary Williamson II (Rebecca); stepsons, Gio (Ruby) Henry and Emil (Melissa) Henry; eight grandchildren, Noah, Xavier, Gianna, Ameliana, Gary III, Hannah, Tony and Nikki; her three siblings, Sharon Moffit, Joy Lawrence and Diana Jean Williamson: many nieces and nephews; Nancy is further survived by her furry companion, Nina; and many other dear family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Nancy Ann Williamson II and her sister, Cheryl Jacob.

Nancy's husband would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of Regency of Grand Blanc and Henry Ford Health Genesys. Also, a very special thank you to hospice nurses Chris, Stephanie and Dawn. Nancy's last month's where extremely difficult and your compassionate care to Nancy and her family are greatly appreciated and did not go unnoticed. Greg would also like to extend his many thanks to Bishop Jim and Cathy Disbrow, Pastors Brad and Andrea Teague, Bishop Sherman Beeler, Pastor Kenneth R. Gillard, Ministers Judy Ross and Cary Smith "to name a few" -- These friends made it possible to find light through the darkest of times.
