Mona M. Murray

MURRAY,   Mona M., age 94 died Saturday, June 25, 2005 at Riverbend.  Mrs. Murray was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 28, 1910 the daughter of Henry and Grace Stoneburner.  She has lived in the Flint area since l945 and prior to that, had live in Petoskey. Mrs.Murray was a registered nurse and had worked at the Traverse City Hospital and later worked over 10 years at the AC Spark Plug division in the medical department.  She was an Episcopalian by faith, but was unable to attend services in recent years. She enjoyed knitting, baking and reading.  Surviving are two step-daughters, Beth Cummings of Davison and Donna Lemons and husband Keith of Dryden.  Also surviving are 5 grandchildren; Kristina Cummings, Stacy Mowrer and husband Kevin, Heath Lemons, Zac Lemons and Brett Lemons and a sister, Irene Rosenow of Petoskey and several nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by her husband William Murray and a brother,Ken Stoneburner.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  There will be a graveside committal 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 30, 2005 at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Fr. Jay Gantz will officiate.  Friends of the family may meet inside the entrance to the cemetery at 1:30 P.M. and then all will proceed to the committal site.  Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Salvation Army Flint Citadel Band League.  Friends may share online condolences or post a tribute at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
