Mitzi Brady

BRADY, Mitzi Ann (Summers) - Age 87, of Durand, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020. In accordance with Mitzi's wishes cremation will take place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Private interment will take place at Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek.

Mitzi was born on March 15, 1933 in Durand, the daughter of Harold and Ruth (Austin) Summers. She and Floyd Brady were united in marriage on August 5, 1950. She went back to school in 1990 to receive her High School Diploma. Mitzi worked at Schmelter's until they closed, she then started to work for GM until her retirement in 1999. She had received a scholarship for Baker College and decided to gift it to a younger student. Mitzi also received the Super Attendant award. She was a charter member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Durand #3851. In her free time she enjoyed playing shuffleboard, bowling, beading and making Christmas ornaments.

She is survived by 6 children, Warren Brady, Teri (Michael) Peterson, Debbie Brady, Kyle (Valerie) Brady, Brenda (Bill) Wineland and Paula (Kirt) Runyan; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Dianne (Jim) Pendergrass.

Mitzi was preceded in death by her, husband, Floyd Brady; grandson, Ryan Brady; parents, Harold and Ruth Summers; and 2 brothers, Matthew and Carol Summers. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
