Mitchell C. Sisson - Age 63, of Flint, was born on January 27, 1958 in Chicago, IL the son of James and Lillie (Lovely) Sisson. Sadly Mr. Sisson passed away Friday, August 6, 2021 at the VA St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Superior Twp, Washtenaw County. He received his GED and went into the United States Army to proudly serve his country from October 16, 1979 to October 19, 1984 as a military policeman. Mr. Sisson received the Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the MarksMan Badge with M16 Rifle Bar. He worked various jobs and later relocated to Flint, Michigan in the mid 1980's where Joan B. Sisson, his sister, became his caretaker throughout life and death, along with his twin nieces Kea L. Sisson and Dea P. Sisson, who he had a close relationship with. Mr. Sisson will be remembered as someone who gives with his whole heart. He loved to smoke, eat and children. Mari and KK, uncle Mitchell said, he misses you. Mr. Sisson was very known and loved by the community. He is survived by his siblings, Joan B., Larry, James, Diana, Norman, Ben and Steve Sisson; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Sisson was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillie Sisson; step-father, Robert Gordon; sisters, Doris, Judy and Michelle; and nephew, Doyle and Aaron. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mitchell Sisson for his service, the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor, the VA St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and Blake at Sharp Funeral Homes. A blessing ceremony will take place with Pastor Theresa Trice-Nelson. Private services will take place at the Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
