LONG, Mitchell Darin -- Age 42, of Flint, died August 7, 2006. Mitchell was a donor through the Gift of Life Program. Funeral Services will be 1 PM Friday, August 11 at Faith Tabernacle, 1225 S. Center Rd., Burton, Pastor Bruce Garner and Sister Bernice Matejcek officiating. Interment in Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-9 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, and from 11 AM until the time of service Friday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the family. Mitchell was born July 12, 1964 in Flint the son of Ronald Dean and Carol Ann (Symons) Long. He was a 1982 graduate of Kearsley High School. He had been employed by Austin Containers, Auburn Hills. He enjoyed computers and was an avid woodworker and a active member of the Eastern Michigan Woodworkers Club. He was a Jack of all Trades and could fix anything. Mitchell was a beloved son and brother, and wonderful uncle. He will be greatly missed. Surviving are: mother Carol of Burton; brother David of Burton; two sisters, Holly and husband Terrence Boven, Heidi and husband Jason Shock, all of Flint; special friends, Steve and Bob Peto, Dave and Tammy Schuman, and Kris Knight; many uncles, aunts, and cousins; and his cat Kerry.
