Minnie E. Smith

SMITH, Minnie E. -- Age 78, of Arcadia, Florida, formerly of Fenton, died Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at Genesys Health Park.  Mrs. Smith was born in Tuckerman, Arkansas on March 15, 1926 the daughter of Jocephas and Stella (Milligan) Henderson. She and Robert E. Smith were married in Angola, Indiana on July 11, 1953. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Ladies of the Oriental Shrine in Florida. She was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening and flowers, but most of all enjoyed being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert; her three daughters, Karen Thomas of Flint, Lisa Cronk and husband Kelly of Fenton, Becky Strahorn of Fenton; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Jo Jones of Burton; aunt, Mary Frances Holzer of Fenton. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters, Wanda Stout, Joan Howlett, and Linda Metcalf. Services will be 11 AM Monday, November 29, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Rev. Sarah LaRose-Nettell will officiate. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
